DC Boom Barriers

DC Boom Barriers provide reliable and precise vehicle entry control using zinc-coated CRCA steel cabinets and aluminium rectangular booms with single support. Equipped with a permanent magnet brushed DC motor with rotor armature winding, DUPONT H-class insulation, and low 4.2A current consumption, these barriers offer smooth 6-second operation and long lifecycle. Microprocessor-based control with photocell sensors and infrared positioning ensures accurate boom movement. Ideal for toll plazas, commercial complexes, and high-security zones requiring durable, fast, and precise barrier solutions.

How it works

The operating principle

Upon receiving a command from the control switch or access control system, the Boom Barrier controller activates the motorized power unit and initiates the operating cycle.

The DC motor drives the geardrive, generating crank rotation integrated inside the Boom Barrier gearbox assembly.

Crank movement drives shaft rotation which enbales raising or lowering of the Boom Barrier Arm, while integrated LED indicators and audible warning systems operate simultaneously during movement for enhanced operational safety and visibility.
